Surface Web

The part of the web indexed by standard search engines.

The surface web is the portion of the internet that search engines crawl and index — the pages you reach through an ordinary search. It is only a fraction of what exists online, but skilled searching (dorking) extracts far more from it than casual use suggests.

It contrasts with the deep web (unindexed but accessible content) and the dark web (content requiring special software).
